Common Colorbond failures
The three failures we see most are a post bent by wind load after a storm, corrosion where the post meets the concrete, and a vehicle knock that pushes a post out of plumb and buckles the sheets either side.
Sheets themselves rarely fail. They dent, but they keep doing their job. If a run looks bad after a storm, it is almost always one or two posts causing it.
We replace the failed post, pour a fresh footing and refit and align the sheets so the run sits straight again.
Matching an older fence
Colorbond colours are consistent from the factory, but sheets fade slightly with years of sun. A replacement panel in the same colour name will usually read a touch brighter for the first year or two, then settle.
