Repair or Build new?
How do i know if my treated pine fence is worth repairing rather than replacing
Repair
- All the palings are still secured to the rails
- Rails are still in good condition
- Basically if the posts are the only area that needs to be fixed a repair should be done
Build new
- Palings are detaching from the rails
Reason
- When the palings are detaching from the rails it means the rails are rotted and being such an integral part of the fence it will be more cost effective to build a new one
Exception
- You can hire a handyman to repair sections or try DIY, but we have tailored our solution to give customers the most value.
- Personal preference of how long you will be living in your property and if you want to replace it and just be done with it rather then push the problem a little bit further down and maybe onto the next person
Colorbond Fencing
How do i know if my Colorbond fence is worth repairing rather than replacing

Build new
- All Bottom rails are rusted
- More than half of the Posts are not secure
- More than half of the sheets are dinted
Reason
- When all the bottom rails are rusted and more than half of the posts are no longer structural it is more cost effective to build a new one
